Refund and Returns Policy

Thank you for choosing ELA – Exotic Leather Accessories. We are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with our premium products. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with our Returns and Refunds Policy, which aligns with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA) (Act 68 of 2008).

1. Returns

Returns are only allowed for ready-made items within 14 days from the date of delivery. To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused, in the same condition as received, and in the original packaging.

2. Custom and Personalised Orders

Custom and personalised orders, including bespoke accessories, are crafted uniquely for you and are not eligible for returns unless there is a manufacturing defect or an error on our part. We take special care to ensure that these items meet your specifications during the design consultation.

3. Defective or Damaged Items

In the rare event that you receive a defective or damaged ready-made item, please contact us immediately at info@exoticleather.co.za. We will arrange for a replacement or issue a refund, including any shipping costs incurred.

4. Refunds

Upon receiving the returned ready-made item and inspecting its condition, we will process a refund to your original payment method. Please allow 14 (fourteen) days for the refund to reflect in your account.

5. Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs of ready-made items, except in cases where the return is due to a defective or damaged item. We recommend using a trackable shipping service to ensure the safe return of the item.

6. Free Shipping for Purchases Over R4000

Enjoy free shipping on orders over R4000 for eligible items. This offer is automatically applied during the checkout process. Please note that free shipping does not apply to sale items.

7. Compliance with CPA

Our Returns and Refunds Policy complies with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA) (Act 68 of 2008). You have the right to return ready-made goods within 14 days if they are defective, unsafe, or if they were sold under false pretenses.

8. Cooling-off Period

If you purchased ready-made goods through direct marketing, including online sales, you have a cooling-off period of five business days to return the goods without any reason.
